I think you overestimate the attention span of the right wing in this country. That is, those of them who might think that law is a bad idea...

are coming in. Now they can be held accountable. Their theories are now old and failed.

ARLINGTON — Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said Friday that the “stand your ground” self-defense law he signed while in office should not apply to the case of a teenager who was killed by a neighborhood watch volunteer in his home state.

“This law does not apply to this particular circumstance,” Bush said after an education panel discussion at the University of Texas at Arlington. “Stand your ground means stand your ground. It doesn’t mean chase after somebody who’s turned their back.”

but he doesn't get to decide what it means. Judges and juries will decide.

I cannot imagine them not voting to indict, but the big question looms over what the State is asking them to vote on...

Anything less than a Murder 1 indictment is just nuts, but then again, there was overreach on Casey Anthony, so they may take a lesser approach.

Republicans seem to pass these laws that look reasonable on a very simple level, but FAIL when they come up against reality.

Why do people keep voting them in?

Including deep blue ones like Illinois. Florida was actually one of the more recent states. This won't affect Bush one way or the other.

It'll be seen as a "Florida" thing right alongside the "SYG" thing.

And Jeb joyously signed it into law in FLA.

If someone points that out in 2016, it MAY hurt Jeb.
