This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Skinner (a host of the General Discussion forum).
To celebrate Sports Illustrated's 50th Swimsuit Issue, Kate Upton was part of a pretty incredible photo shoot -- one that required her to experience zero gravity. According to a press release, the shoot went down at the Space Coast Regional Airport in Titusville, Florida.
The sexy supermodel and the Sports Illustrated crew performed a series of 17 parabolas -- including "13 zero gravity and four replicating lunar gravity" on a Boeing-727 known as the G-FORCE ONE.
While there's clearly a lot of science involved here that we won't try to understand, the final product is pretty impressive, with the magazine doing a whole spread of a weightless Kate floating around in a gold bikini.
The video from the shoot is equally amazing. This was definitely a difficult (but totally fun) spread to pull off -- and seeing the entire crew of photographers fly around with her is so cool.

(48,121 posts)should watch the video.
Of course they should say 50 hail misogyny's when done and pray to the goddess to rescue her from the job she chose to do and that her spirit will be enlightened. She should be in a business suit in a cubicle for the cause. Not out having fun, smiling, making money.
She is doing something I wouldn't do, therefore it must be bad in some way.

(48,121 posts)I will send her a tweet and let her know we are all saddened by this.
Thanks for posting this and alerting us to her plight. If we can all chip in we can get her a nice burka and send it to her.

(6,402 posts)I'm certainly not against the post - it's actually got some interesting videos for those that had never seen how such things are done - but it's not a general discussion topic.
If only people could post a bit more smartly in the areas they choose. Or moderators to move things when they don't belong.

(80,708 posts)I would completely do the Vomit Comet, if I had the chance.
Pretty amazing.
Also, and this has NOTHING to do with the topic at hand, of course... one of these days people are going to be having sex in zero G. That'll be weird.

We like give members some leeway to post a wide variety of topics here. But I don't think videos of Kate Upton in zero-G are on-topic for the General Discussion forum.
