It must be incredibly difficult to run as a republican

Think about it.

They do not have a sufficient majority to get elected without wooing some "independents" & wishy-washy dems to vote for them, so their message" has to be doled out in sanitized small doses, because to give it in the proper measure would be fatal.

I bet they have dreams where they actually say what they really want to say..and then get elected .

A truthful mission statement would probably go something like this:

Hi, I am <name goes here>. and I am asking for your vote for president/congressperson/senator.

I believe that wimminfolk should always take orders from the "man of the house", and should stay home baking cookies & tending to the young'uns.

I believe that Jesus should be the ultimate leader of this Christian nation (the blond-haired, white,blue-eyed Jesus)

I would prefer to send away poor people, brown-skinned people and people who do not think like I do.

Obama needs to be defeated because:

he's black
he's a smarty-pants
he wants to give stuff to people who do not deserve it
he's not american
and of course..he's black

I also believe that there should be no minimum wage because our founders already said that all men are created equal

I believe there should be no taxes...

I believe there should be no official school system..each community/family can decide what their kids learn and they can pay for it too.

There should be no public health care either. Access is all that;s needed, and there are plenty of doctors & hospitals. Need a doctor, get out your checkbook.

I believe that freedom is everything, and everyone should be free to do whatever they want..(except for getting abortions or gays marrying each other)

etc.., (add your own to the list)
...

They have to be tying themselves into knots as they try to parse the language so they don't tip their hand

before she gets married, that's her problem. Once she gets married, all her problems are solved because a man lawfully wedded, bedded and became her owner. Them women that get raped were either in the wrong place at the wrong time under their own volition, or they aren't worth keeping around. Once a slut has sex, she can never say no to a man anymore, anyway."

They wouldn't know a principle if it came up and bit them on the ass.

Look at Santorum and his wife today, trying to double back on contraception.

The only one I see in the Republican race that has any firm principles at all is Ron Paul. Too bad he's a fucking looney.

we do have difficulty tearing them away from their fairy-tale books the republicans have given them ..and in making them pay attention to proposals that consist of more than 4-word-soundbytes..
