Anyone else just catch Alex Wagner calling Stabenow on using
"fraud" so loosely when talking about SNAP? She pointed out that this word has been used as RW code to deny food to the very poor. Stabenow did get a bit more specific and talk about liquor stores and some involvement in receiving payment on SNAP. Stabenow was clearly startled to get a feedback that she was perhaps not saying something she thought she was. This demand for clear language over political doublespeak is something we need to insist on during the election season. And there needs to be feedback that we recognize weasel words when we hear them.
