Democrats’ House and Senate campaign arms recorded their best February fundraising hauls ever, the committees announced this morning.

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee raised $5.3 million last month, leaving it with $19 million on hand as of the end of February. That impressive monthly total helped the DSCC get closer to its strong 2008 cycle, when it ended February with $32.8 million on hand.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee announced its February take on Twitter. DCCC Deputy Executive Director Jennifer Crider announced that the committee raised $6.3 million last month, leaving it with $16.4 million on hand.

While the DCCC is looking to net 25 seats to regain the House majority, the DSCC is seeking to hold its slim majority in the Senate. The National Republican Congressional Committee and National Republican Senatorial Committee have not yet announced their February fundraising, which is due to the Federal Election Commission on Tuesday.

“Last month’s fundraising haul was the most successful February we’ve ever had in any cycle at the DSCC. We have a long way to go, but we have a lot of momentum right now,” DSCC Executive Director Guy Cecil said.

President Barack Obama’s campaign also announced its February fundraising on Twitter this morning. The Obama campaign and Democratic National Committee jointly raised $45 million last month, which included 348,000 donors giving a $59 average donation.

The Obama campaign also released a video on its fundraising. Watch it @ link~
