Cartoonist Glenn McCoy... calls himself "a conservative cartoonist"

If he uses the word conservative to describe himself, that is a clear sign that the word conservative has taken on a new meaning that is completly different than the original meaning of the word. I believe the correct word is radical or reactionary.

Start with a google image search if you want to see a gallery of his works.

Which is funny, because before abortion was legal, every young woman that I knew that had a D&C done was the daughter of a Republican in town.

Lots of young women needed a D&C back then for some reason, not so many now, though.

I am not defending what he does, I find the cartoons vile but he does have the right, which I fully support, to be vile in America.

Instead of discussing the content of the cartoons, which I intended to do, you want to shut down the whole discussion by calling it "an attack on free speech".

Show me where I am calling anyone out on free speech.

I would like to address the artist's content, his ideas, his asssertions. Would you like to address the artist's content, ideas, assertions? Or would you prefer we just avoid the discussion..?

The first thing they claim is that you are trying to shut down 'free speech', even though you never stated or inferred that is what you want to do.

Claim victimhood right off the bat in order to shut down discussion, right out of the playbook.

It's only my guess, but it looks like someone is feeling defensive that their cherished cartoonist is under the spotlight on a liberal discussion board!

Having a discussion about something is pretty much the opposite of stifling free speech.

Pretty soon, I predict he/she will complaining back home at FR" that the Democratic Underground censored his free speech. Just a hunch.

And no, McCoy OWNS the top of the Op-Ed page. I wonder why they don't have Mallard Fillmore, too.

I tend to break down into uncontrolled giggles anytime I hear somebody rant about "Liberal College Campuses", because they sure as hell ain't talking about this "little" Midwest Ag/Engineering/Business school...
