live forever. And they need scarce healthcare and no public healthcare because the masses have to not live forever. They need the middle class to run out of money where health is concerned. I keep coming back to this. As much as I don't want it to be true. We think they want more money than they can ever spend but 'than they could ever spend' may be a faulty assumption on our parts. We assume life will end at 90. What if they are not assuming that. What if they are assuming hugely extended lives for those who can afford it only.

(37,573 posts)The government is funded with INCOME taxes. Well who has most of the income?
It is NOT the 0.1% - the super duper rich, they only have 11.9%.
It is NOT the 1% - the super rich, they only have 22.8%
Even the top 5% "only" has 37% of the income. (all of the percentages are from IRS estimates from 2007).
The top 10% has 48%
and the top 25% has 68% (2006 estimate).
So, to summarize
top 1% - 23%
next 2-25% - 45% - collectively almost twice as much income as the top 1%.
THEY are the ones who will not pay more in taxes. Obama calls them part of the "middle class" and will not even consider increasing their taxes, even by a little bit.

To turn $10 into $1,000 is a feat, to turn $1M into $100M is inevitable.
