such distinctions are often lost. Besides, why accuse the tweet of being racist, etc. and not have some assumption of racism on the part of the tweeter? Do non-racists generally post racist bullshit?

As for the tweet itself, as I said, it was a crude insult and crude insults always have some element anti-whatever is being insulted.

10. Because I don't know Roseanne...

I can only go by what she tweets. I don't know if she's a bigot or if she's just saying something offensive for the sake of saying it. It doesn't make her comments any less offensive, though. At least, no more than when Alec Baldwin says something homophobic. Do I know if he hates gays? Of course not. But it doesn't mean what he says sometimes isn't homophobic.

It's a trashy tweet from a trashy comedian who is probably a bit past her prime.
