at that stage. It's smaller than a cashew nut with gills like a fish when most women abort a pregnancy and at that stage, all are female. There's also a yolk sac. Arms and legs are buds and that's it except the tail.

The Texas Proxy Rape and Fetal Shaming Law will undoubtedly increase business at Planned Parenthood here in NM. Yes, it's a six to twelve hour drive, but if I were dumb enough to live in Texas, it would be worth it.

After all, our newspaper editors had the complete series last week.

Texas’s HB-15 isn’t hard to explain: The bill says that in order for a woman to obtain a perfectly legal medical procedure, she is first compelled by law to endure a vaginal probe with a hard, plastic 10-inch wand. The World Health Organization defines rape as “physically forced or otherwise coerced penetration — even if slight — of the vulva or anus, using a penis, other body parts or an object.” You tell me the difference. -Garry Trudeau

In 2008, Texas was pretty red (McCain 55%, Obama 44%). Still, with Hispanics making up more of the electorate, the Obama campaign has been making noises about contesting the state. If enough women have to go through this in real life between now and November, who knows what might happen.
