(From the Tuesday March 6 RFO podcast)
Take heart, dear friends. We are passing through the darkening of the light. Were gonna make it and were going to make it together. Dont get ground down by cynicism.
Dont let depression darken the glass through which you look. This is a garden we live in. A garden seeded with unconditional love. And the tears of the oppressed, and the tears of the frustrated, and the tears of the good will spring those seeds. The flag has been waived. It says occupy. Occupy Wall Street. Occupy the banks. Occupy the nursing homes. Occupy Congress.
Occupy the big law offices. Occupy the lobbyists. Occupy yourself. Because thats were it all comes together. I pledge to you, from this moment on, whatever it means, Im going to occupy myself. I love you. See ya tomorrow.

(5,312 posts)...in the early 70s, Firesign Theatre was a tremendous influence on the way I saw things.
That, and LSD. Sometimes at the same time.
Thanks for the memories, which help to lighten the sadness I feel.

(1,405 posts)But then, I met and worked wtih Phil Proctor and he introduced me to his friend Peter.
We recorded a lot of commercials together and art projects with the rest of "The Boys".
If I may mention "The Digital Diner" which were two of my most challenging projects to technically produce.
I am often fond of saying "My friend Peter Bergman once said..." Then I would quote him from a private conversation that we would have while we were working. He was kind, wise, and so inspirational to the talent to get what he needed to turn out great product.
There are so many stories.... but the one I hold close to my heart is how he, after the final "The Digital Diner", he gave me a book of Andrew Wyeth paintings.. writing inside
"To John Brady, a man who had the knowledge and experience to know this could never be done... but had the talent and the perseverance .. to pull it off anyway-Peter"
That is a story I have not told today.
