I swear it would be better to kick him out, wait a cycle, and get someone to run who represents the district better.

Who crossed over in the House?
Here are the 12 House Republicans who voted with Democrats against the continuing resolution with a one-year delay on the individual mandate:
Reps. Tom Massie (Ky.), Peter King (N.Y.), Steve King (Iowa), Mike Rogers (Ala.), Paul Broun (Ga.), Phil Gingrey (Ga.), Joe Barton (Texas), Louie Gohmert (Texas), Kay Granger (Texas), Charlie Dent (Pa.), Rick Crawford (Ark.) and Michele Bachmann (Minn.).
All but Dent and Peter King come from the conservative wing of the party.
And here are the nine Democrats who supported it:
Reps. Mike McIntyre (N.C.), Dan Maffei (N.Y.), Sean Maloney (N.Y.), Jim Matheson (Utah), Steven Horsford (Nev.), Ron Barber (Ariz.), John Barrow (Ga.), Raul Ruiz (Calif.) and Kyrsten Sinema (Ariz.).

On Edit: Oh nevermind. I see he and Bachmann voted no because it wasn't hardline enough for their taste.
Michelle Bachmann voted with the dems?
Sounds like there's some vote trading going on there.

(32,100 posts)He's in one of the districts next to mine, which is "represented" by Joe "You Lie" Wilson, if that gives you any idea of what things are like in these parts. Anyone to the left of Barrow doesn't really stand a chance of getting elected. I'm surprised that that nutjob, Paul Broun, voted with the Dems, although he is an M.D., so maybe there is some shred of decency in him.

(11,101 posts)Once the Republicans had the votes I'm sure they got permission to vote yes in order to get some cover at home. That kind of thing happens a lot.

(53,339 posts)To get a bill to the Senate to be stripped again. I know that Matheson (UT) said that about his earlier CR votes (when only he and McIntyre voted with the GOP).
One exception is McIntyre (NC), who has opposed the ACA from the beginning. He voted against the original act and has consistently voted with Republicans for repeal/defund/delay.

May Obamacare be so successful that pols like McIntyre get left in the dust.

(116,464 posts)Just like Blanche Lincoln thought she was indispensable, these clowns need to learn that a shred of principle still matters.
The beauty about Lincoln losing is that the Senate remained in Democratic hands throughout.
These assholes voted against the previous bills so why change now?
Kick them to the curb.

(3,179 posts)His father was a very popular Democratic Utah governor on whose coattails Jim entered politics. In spite of being targeted by the teabagger faction and the gerrymandering, he's held on by the skin of his teeth. He seems to consider saving himself more important than voting as Democrats would prefer.
Completely depressing. What an asshole.
