Great comeback from guy who drank with Breitbart hours before he died

This is a quote from a guy who Breitbart happened to sit next to in a Brentwood
bar the hours before his death
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/andrew-breitbart-dead-la-bar-politics-296386

"He was friendly and engaging," Sando recalls. "I said, 'You can't be very happy with the slate of Republican candidates' and he said, 'Why would you say that?' I said, 'Well, they're talking about contraception,' and he said, 'The conversation is being framed by the liberal media.' I said, 'Well, the media isn't writing Rick Santorum’s speeches for him.' We had a back-and-forth for awhile until we said we weren’t going to agree on some things."

in a radio interview, Santorum blamed the media, and fortunately the interviewer pointed out, like this Sando guy did, that Santorum was the one saying all the things in question. The interview ended with losing the phone connection, which the interviewer described as "convenient".

he left the bar and when he was pronounced dead. They said he had been walking. wonder if
he walked home from the bar when it happened. Or out later. Someone saw him collapse, so
it couldn't have been too long from when the got him, tried to revive him, and pronounced him
dead.

really clear if he was walking home from the bar, either.

I am behind, didn't even know about the Obama college tapes. That's scary.

It's almost certain he actually used all the words that appear in whatever Breitbart intended to release. Almost.

Their order and implicit context, however, are much more suspect. Just remember Shirley Sherrod.

Don't bogart that joint, my friend?

Who gives a shit, really! If he had truly "damaging" tapes, he'd have released them by now.

Dubya set the Youthful Indiscretion bar pretty low, as we all know. Obama would have to hop up on the bar pantless, coked-up, drunk and swinging his dick in time to the music, AND insult the Pope's parentage in order to beat Dubs in the "Tasteless Youthful Excesses" contest!

stuff. He never had a intellectual thought. It's been implied that Obama's alleged stuff
is ideological - about race and class. What surprises me so is that by the time he
got to Harvard he had settled into an "establishment" type of liberal. Can't imagine him
saying anything way out there by then.

If these supposed tapes were of him vomiting the kind of garbage they're now teaching at once-vaunted BC these days (which used to be a school for liberal/progressive thought, now it's hate-filled GOP Central), I'd be distressed. If he's taking radical ideas out for a mental spin in these supposed tapes, that's wonderful--it suggests he was exercising his mind even as a student with lots of shit to memorize.

Youthful idealism is not a bad thing, particularly when one is YOUNG. When people get a bit older, they merge their idealistic and sometimes improbable ideas with the practical realities that surround them, and hopefully they move the ball down the field a bit for the betterment of society.

If Obama had opinions about "race and class," they were probably based in bitter experience. We'd all have to be living in a bubble if we actually believed that America has--even now, even today, all these years after "I Have a Dream"--lived up to her promise. Thing is, though, just because that's the case, we can't stop moving forward. And most of us don't. But NOTING that we're not there yet is not a crime--it's just articulating the damn truth.

Here's why I'm not terribly excited about that dead drunk's 'treasure trove' of tapes: Certainly, if Obama actually had a dire and "radical" agenda, that he articulated in his Say It Loud Black Pow-ah Youth, you'd have thought he would have implemented at least a solitary plank or two of his "fist in the air" plan for America by now; hell, it's been almost four years, what's he waiting for, Christmas? Or should I say.... Eid?

(Cue shocked expression and dramatic music!)

Or maybe he's a bit of a slowpoke!

Or maybe, just maybe, whatever that dead hatemonger has is just some images of a kid in law school, opining for the sake of argument or discussion (like that's a crime!). Unless it's a smooth, no breaks video, I'll assume it's been heavily edited and is non-representative. Even if it's not edited, I'm not worrying about it. I judge people by their actions over the last few decades, not something they said in school. Hell, some of the shit I said in school, if "caught on tape" or scrawled on a Facebook page, wouldn't have helped me get a damn clearance!

He was in Two and a Half Men not too long ago. And Wikipedia says he's a recurring character on Desperate Housewives too. He's married to Alley Mills (The Wonder Years mom).

I always thought he was a funny actor and a good man. His daughter, Susannah, however, didn't receive his brains. "His second wife was fashion designer Carolyn Maxwell.[7] They married in 1965 and divorced in 1981. They had three children: Max, Susannah, and Ezekiel. Susannah was married to conservative commentator Andrew Breitbart until his death; they had four children.

gay marriage rights in CA recently....that's what made me say "Well, enough of him, then." It's also what made me believe that Breitbart's wife can't blame her mother entirely for her lack of smarts.
