And I'm simply sick and tired of all the bullshit from those motherfuckers.
Got that off my chest...
So, let's bring on the weekend.

(10,942 posts)bring themselves to say a bad word about republicans. When issues come up that, if we took a stand on them as Democrats, the Democrat bashers only response is a weak "no" without elaboration.

(19,877 posts)THIS would be it.
Cali_Democrat
(30,439 posts)The constant Obama/Dem bashers here rarely attack Republicans. It's non-stop Obama bashing 24/7.
That will surely get more Dems elected in 2014.
It's almost like a coordinated effort to depress turnout for Dems in 2014.

(2,646 posts)Nothing almost about it Cali_D. They'd love a Republican landslide to teach us unwashed Democrats a lesson for not being the left's version of Teabaggers.
FredStembottom
(2,928 posts)And it's about bashing bad policies we want to see removed from our Party's advocacy.
We are supposed to be bashing those policies that don't seem to fit into our Party's vision as part of being a Party.
We do it here because we want to effect our Party.
You can't effect the republican party from within Democratic Underground.
I can provide other basic, generally understood by most information if needed.

(1,855 posts)DUers who speak out about elected Dems supporting republican-like policies are actually republicans in disguise.
DUers who speak out about elected Dems not supporting traditional Democratic Party values are actually republicans in disguise.
Duers who defend the elected Dem's adoption of republican-like policies are the actual Democrats.
That's some twisted logic, right there...
Cali_Democrat
(30,439 posts)All their anger is directed toward Obama/Dems which is exactly what the GOP wants.
It definitely appears to be a coordinated effort.

(1,855 posts)Kermitt Gribble
(1,855 posts)who you accuse of coordinating against the Dems, support Social Security, unions, Medicare, civil rights, public education, and many other issues that have been at the core of the Democratic Party for decades.
The "anger", if that's what you want to call it, is directed at Obama/Dems for straying from these core values, and rightfully so. We need to keep our own party in line with its traditional values before we worry about what the GOP wants.
Cali_Democrat
(30,439 posts)And they use those issues to justify attacking Obama/Dems.
But I don't believe it for one second.
They have an agenda and it ain't to benefit the Democratic Party.
rhett o rick
(55,981 posts)other than those of this conservative administration. They label those that arent satisfied with the conservative agenda, Obama-haters, when more accurately they should be called "conservative-haters". The 1% backed conservative wing of the Democratic Party is busy "compromising" with Republicans while trying to alienate the progressives.

I rec'ed this thread and was about to reply "That's something we can all agree on!" but now I see that the bashers of those who want to hold Democrats responsible for sticking to their principles don't like that idea...

(39,909 posts)In a childish, Black v White World View,
if the Republicans are EVIL,
then, by default, that means the Democrats are GOOD,
and above all criticism, because, well...because
THE REPUBLICANS ARE EVIL!!!!
SEE! Thats really ALL you need to know!
It is really simple.
For example,
Assad = BAD, therefore The Rebels = GOOD!
That binary thinking really simplifies life,
and virtually eliminates the need for studying the issues, questioning authority, thinking for yourself, and actually STANDING for your personal Values.
[font size=3] Its EASY!
You don't have to STAND for ANYTHING,
and get to insult those who do!!!

The difference now is that Democrats have joined them, and there is no longer an opposition party to stop them.

That's why they spend so much time "otherizing".
The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

(9,221 posts)Working with Republicans in my neighborhood shows some truly nasty people. They video tape protestors with over-sized cameras and try to intimidate any dissenters in their ranks. If they don't march lockstep with the most hard lined tough guys, they vilify you and try to end their careers. In order to be an acceptable member of the Republican Party today you must, be opposed to a living wage, support outsourcing and privatizing security services (i.e. first responders), be an Ayn Rand disciple, wave the flag with one hand and an assault weapon with the other.
It's an odd place to wind up from the day that Ronald Reagan was sworn in with Jerry Falwell rooting him on and Wall Street writing the laws.
And of course, no religion but Christianity will do.

(573 posts)when I put a rant out on facebook or another forum about the GOP doing something. "Not all repubs are like that, some of us give to charities or do ___________ (insert their excuse here)"
I am starting to reply that by supporting the GOP, they ARE just like Ted Cruz, and the rest of the cabal. You can't support the Repubs without supporting the destruction of the middle class, the war against women, children, the soldiers, and the elderly.
While I don't always agree with the Democratic leadership, I do support the core values of the progressive movement. If I didn't, I wouldn't be calling myself a Liberal/Progressive/Democrat. Something you can't seem to get through the heads of the semi-repubs.
Devout Evangelicals are the worst about this. They spout the peace and love of the Christian God, but they support all the evil, hurtful things the Politicians they vote for. I guess Hypocrisy has been wiped from the Bible.
