14 out of 15 Towns on Cape Cod voted to Close Pilgrim Nuclear Plant

In non binding resolutions, 14 out of 15 towns, here on Cape Cod voted to close the 41 year old
Aging Pilgrim Nuclear Power Plant, which this year alone has been off line, more than off line!

This Entergy owned plant is the same Mach I design as the beyond crippled Fukushima plants that are
Still melting down as I type this.

Todays' Cape Cod Times has a poll asking if it should be closed. Despite the overwhelming votes
To close at our town meetings, this poll is showing 80% votes for keeping it open. Might I enlist some help here
To counter what can only be Entergy assistance in skewing this poll?

Just scroll down the front page to the poll, just right of mid line, here:

http://www.capecodonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/section?category=NEWS11

Also see on the front page that the plant shut down again yesterday for
The 7th time this year.

the VT legislature voted to shut down VT Yankee. Courts ruled they didn't have the authority. Yankee is being closed next year but it was a decision by Entergy.

But the plant has been shut down due to malfunctioning old equipment,
It is shut down more than it is on, people are aware that it is a money pit
What with the subsidies given to Entergy through the taxes we pay, more
People are aware of the potential everlasting effects of radiation, our local politicians
Are really beginning to ask hard questions regardingbits safety, ( we Down Winders motto
Is, " Swim East, There is no escape from the Cape &quot momentum is begining to tip
Towards our side, and we won't quit now.

BTW, I do think you amazing Vermonters did have
A little something to do with the Entergy decision- just my opinion.

that the courts ruled as they did, saying that states have no authority to shut down nuclear plants.

I wish you luck.

I'm getting in the car and driving straight toward it as fast as I can. It would be better to end everything quickly.
