(81,895 posts)And is their turnout down because of the snowstorm in the northern part of the state? I think that's stronger Santorum territory. Or are Democrats up vs. PPP because they are making a big play?

(18,115 posts)These numbers combined with the earlier breakdown: with Dems going 5o% to 15% Santorum-Romney, Indys breaking 33/35 Sant/Rom and give Romney a few points on the repubs, say 35-33.
Santorum is up a point or two. It is really close, and the exit polling isn't perfect, but judging by Romney's comments and attitude today, I think he just lost Michigan.

(14,177 posts)10% Dems isn't a high enough number to proclaim that there is mischief. Michigan is very conservative in many areas, I lived in one of those areas for 19 years until I had enough money to head out of the state on a Grey Hound. I think one could make a case that some Conservative or even some very Liberal Democrats might want to punish Obama in some way. Getting him to run against Santorum would accomplish that.
