PPP: Walker trails both likely recall opponents.

A new Public Policy Polling survey in Wisconsin shows Gov. Scott Walker (R) trails both of his most likely opponents in the recall election by narrow margins. Tom Barrett (D) leads 49% to 46% and Kathleen Falk is ahead 48% to 47%.

Key finding: Walker continues to be unpopular with only 47% of voters approving of him to 52% who disapprove.

Consequently, the PPP poll reflects how well the Dem politicians are known around the state.

Consequently, the person who leads Walker by double digits iis Feingold--but he insists on not running.

I'll admit to being disappointed that among those trailing are two guys who actually put their asses on the line last year. Guys who had leadership rolls in last winter/spring's opposition, and really and truly "get it", namely Erpenbach and Barca.

Clearly, I'll vote to support the Dem, but I wish one of the later two would have made more successful moves to organize a run.
