(564 posts)It's not too terribly bright to mix your politics with your job/business. What a dimwit.

(21,046 posts)I figure they're a shyster, incompetent and probably are itching to tell me I'm going to hell.
I'd be fine with hell if they weren't in it. I avoid "Christian businesses."
Business ethics should have nothing to do with religion.

(564 posts)We have a bible thumper around here. Acts II Building bridges for Jesus. Check this out:
Background: The plaintiff commenced the action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. [section]1983, and seeks injunctive and declaratory relief. He contends Highway Law Sections 86 and 88, and their enforcement regulations, 17 NYCRR Part 150, violate his right to freedom of speech as guaranteed by the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The plaintiff owns and operates a bridge building business named "Acts II Construction Inc.: Building Bridges for Jesus." He is a devout Christian who "regularly shares the Gospel of Jesus Christ to persons he encounters through work, at his office and in the field, and in his personal life." Burritt has a trailer located near the highway featuring religious messages; one informs motorists that "Sin Has Separated You From God. All Have Sinned and Fall Short of the Glory of God. The Blood of Jesus Cleanses Us from All Sin. Are You Washed in the Blood? www.jsm.org." The DOT informed Burritt that State Route 11 is a "controlled route" for outdoor advertising, controlled under the Sign Laws, and declared that "if you elect to move this sign out of the State highway right of way on to your own property in this location, you will need to obtain an outdoor
It's a paid article it ends there. The trailer is disgusting. I mean who puts "washed in the blood" on state highway?
I was pissed when they were hired at a local state college a while back. Maybe that's not right, but I felt they were supporting this man and his fanatical Christianity.

(18,890 posts)...the problem is that this is Los Altos Hills, CA. Highly educated, very blue area. This person is beyond obese and obviously obtuse. He has been complained about for months, is a terrible customer service professional, and will pass gas loudly if annoyed. He refuses to ' hand you your change' - he puts it on the counter for you to scoop up..... Oh, and he has a 20 word vocabulary. But, yes, he is still employed.
