And Clinton didn't have any Americans killed in action. Only one helicopter accident during the entire conflict.

First ya gots republcans complaining that Obama is doing nothing.
Then they complain that if he dose something without congress they will impeach.
Now they're whining that Obama did the right thing and they have to do their jobs.
republicans, they'd bitch if you hung them with a new rope!
I sure hope President Obama follows through on this one as the republicans have been asking for that new rope for some time now.
I cheer on the civil war amongst the republican menace.

(5,442 posts)No more bloviating. Time to have a real debate and do your jobs. I think the President has handled this very well. Assad knows that if his people are gassed again, we pull the trigger, so they're protected at least from that. And the toxic gas bags have to go on the record now. President O won't be the punching bag for those who want to politicize the crisis.

Essentially he's complaining that Obama isn't giving him an opportunity to impeach the president.

(1,408 posts)That, and no matter how they vote, it's something(their vote) that they won't be able to hold President Obama 100% responsible for.
What is really pissing them off is that they might have to agree, vote and pass something that President Obama proposes without obstructing it for 6-12 months or longer.
It will be interesting to see what some of them do while trying not to upset their overseers. (Fox News, Koch Brothers, etc.)
It will also be interesting to see how the repubs that attended this meeting on Jan. 20, 2009 vote.

"During the four hour meeting:
The senior GOP members plotted to bring Congress to a standstill regardless how much it would hurt the American Economy by pledging to obstruct and block President Obama on all legislation."
You can almost hear them squirming.

Now that they actually have to put up or shut up after publicly demanding that the President consult them? Just desserts for the overpaid do-nothings.
