8. heroes- the chicago white sox have "the hero of the game"

which is some random military guy, some of whom have done something heroic, but most just called heroes for wearing the uniform.
i wouldn't have such a problem with it if once in a while, they included another sort of hero. even a local cop of firefighter. but really, this city is so full of everyday heroes. moms who raised 12 kids in public housing. and i always add in my rants "or a pitbull that dragged his family out of a burning house."

i wonder if they found a dog to honor today. will be at the game and will post here if that bright light comes on.
