Interesting article on housing crisis

As I think many of us know, the banks have been foreclosing on houses they have no clear title too. An interesting article today points out that they may not have clear title to billions of dollars worth of property. It's "Your mortgage documents are fake!" by David Dayen over at Salon.

I'm generally a capitalist, but in favor of a well regulated capitalism, and this isn't that. With all of the monkeying around that happened in the mid 2000's in the housing market and the securitization of debt, I can't believe that we haven't done more to fix this problem. But Obama, like Bush, and like any forthcoming Presidents, is enamored of wall street, and won't challenge it. You can't trust business to regulate itself.

Anyway worth reading.

Bryant
