I have to ask this question from DUers with reporter experience. If you write articles that appear to be concerned about cleaning up the corruption in the area, then you have to know who the "good ole boy" power hitters are. So is it ever a good idea to come out and promote them, even if they begin to come around and talk your language of reform?
I mean, one thing that took Democrats forever to understand, is that Republicans were goal oriented, which meant you could not rely on anything they said. Why would it be any different with someone who represents the status quo?
And to keep me out of trouble, I would like to keep this to a general conversation. Because I think, this is how we lost the battle before. Once newspaper reporters are glamor-eyed by the people they are suppose to be investigating, isn't that the beginning of the end?
