As a Florida resident, I say 'bring on the boycott'

We (not myself personally, but as a state) have elected an extremist right wing legislature, as well as a governor who makes Bush look like a moderate.

Our political leaders need to know that their right wing policies have consequences. There needs to be pressure placed on our state.

Hopefully, we'll start electing more progressive leaders. But in the meantime, economic and social pressure is our best way of getting change.

Florida is a Swing State, too many good people would get hurt. 2014 is coming up, Scott is running, and he's behind the 'Someone Else' candidate, whoever that may be. Boot him out and get rid of all this shit.

With a balanced budget amendment and no state income tax.

Not gonna be pretty. It ain't like the legislature is going to cut its own pension.

down.

I still think it's good to shine a light on your state and any other that needs it, Hugabear. And, one way is a boycott.

Virginia was getting national attention for it's rw candidate for gov, Cucu because of his stance on certain issues that should be left to the privacy of the individual.

UPDATE: Additional information has come to light which sheds serious doubt on the veracity of a reported list of artists joining Stevie Wonder's boycott of Florida. For more information and a full breakdown of the story's history, please see our further coverage.

The Democratic and progressive brand will be toxic in our state for decades to come. A boycott is the last thing you want if you want Florida to ever be blue again. Only something as dumb as this could keep an idiot like Rick Scott in office.

A boycott is dumb dumb dumb, it also won't happen, but some people don't seem concerned with the fair or the practical
