Right Wing Response to Josh Fox's Gasland

A few months ago I turned to C-SPAN and two right wingers were discussing Josh Fox's Gasland. I did not watch the full show, but one of the right wingers, in response to clips in the documentary where drinking water was set on fire, stated that there are historical records that mention George Washington setting some river on fire. I think the river was in the same area that Gasland discusses. I am not saying I believe these two people; I am just asking for a response.

I guess the premise of these two right wingers was that Josh Fox's Gasland was misleading because some of the water in the area the film discussed was already contaminated before companies started fracking.
