Jerry Sandusky's adoptive son files petition for name change

BELLEFONTE, Pa. —

An adoptive son of Jerry Sandusky has filed court paperwork to legally change his name, along with the name of his current wife and four of his children.

In court paperwork confirmed by 6 News reporter Gary Sinderson, petitions were filed Wednesday morning by Matt Sandusky seeking a name change for himself, his current wife, their child and three of Matt’s children from a previous marriage.

Matt was adopted by Jerry Sandusky and was prepared to testify against Jerry during Jerry’s sexual abuse trial in June 2012. Matt claimed he was abused by Jerry, but never testified during Jerry’s trial.

Jerry Sandusky was sentenced in September 2012 to 30-60 years in state prison after being found guilty of abusing 10 boys.

3. I'm glad Matt Sandusky finally got on board....he fought his ex-wife, Jill Thomas, when

she went to court to prevent Sandusky senior and Dottie Sandusky from seeing her three children....and she won a court order.
