because it feels like he was killed a second time.

(8,275 posts)interviewing, or talking about this case. It is too toxic, and does more harm than good.
When I garden, walk, drive in quiet, I will send all that is in my heart to Trayvon's family. This might seem rather dramatic to some, but this little case in Sandford Fla., has made me lose hope that we will ever stand a chance to be a peaceful, one, people.

(22,239 posts)I don't know how to express it, but I had the feeling that the piece of shit would walk since the only other person who could say what happened that night was silenced and never had the opportunity to present his side of the story.
It is still a punch in the stomach.

(5,810 posts)I am sickened by the verdict and my heart aches for Trayvon's family tonight. They have conducted themselves with grace and dignity and have suffered a loss no parent should ever know. I am confident they will continue to fight for justice for their son. The story of what happened to their child should never be forgotten.

(82,383 posts)That poor boy and his family. He was just 17. Just starting out in life. Just walking to the store! How many times did I do that as a kid?

(14,350 posts)He looked so like a student I had when I taught in Cleveland that it's eerie. That man killed someone's favorite student, killed a young man with promise, killed a teen with his whole life ahead of him.
My heart is sick tonight.
