Got blocked from Facebook for 12 hours for this simple reply:

In a discussion on Yahoo via Facebook (yeah I know. I should know better than to debate the "yahoos" on there and their stupid bigotry), I got blocked from Facebook for replying to a Yahoo member in discussing the open carry law in Mississippi that was blocked by Hinds County Circuit Court Judge Winston Kidd, who happens to be black. The person I was replying to had a Confederate flag as her profile pic and had stated: "well just look at his picture. That says it all". The photo was nothing more than a picture of Judge Kidd. Absolutely nothing else.

Here was my reply and the reason I was banned:

"Meaning what Kathy? Come on now, don't be shy with your racism, bigotry and stupidity!! I judge no one, but if you are going to "judge" this judge, simply by this picture of him and the color of his skin, I would then venture to judge you as a bigoted, ignorant, dumb-ass redneck racist cracker simply by looking by your profile pic."

Upon reading their community standards, I see nothing worse than what is usually posted on Yahoo or Facebook. Often there is far worse.

1. Good rant, but it most definitely is uncivil and insulting.

Truth of a matter is no defense. And, while similar is posted on Yahoo and Facebook without deletion, that doesn't mean that it meets the standards.

Maybe your comment just got caught by whomever looks for that stuff or someone reported you, no?

I found her judging someone simply from one picture via the color of that person's skin very insulting, much more insulting than my reply. And BTW, I live in Mississippi, so I've seen much, much, much worse than this!!

I use my FB for work so NSFW type posts don't come up much, but I know they're there!

glad you told her off. Maybe a few of her visitors realized who they are really dealing with.

I care not about being blocked 12 hours or banned for life. I just thought there was a double standard at work here. That's all. I have found myself frequenting Facebook less and less, because of the utter stupidity and banality of it all.
