Seems like the GZ jury will be looking at the evidence in detail....

It's a good sign they asked for what is probably a long exhibit list. There's a lot of evidence. It's good that they are going to take the time to go through it and discuss it, whatever they decide in the end.

I think it may mean their minds are not made up beforehand. We'll see how long they're out. It should take a little while to go through all that evidence...listen to the tapes again, watch videos, read testimony, discuss with each other, argue.

So whether they come out with murder 2 or manslaughter or not guilty, if they've taken their time to go through the evidence, had discussions, and the verdict is unanimous, that lends credence to their verdict.

I don't expect any particular verdict. Juries can surprise us.

It's encouraging that they seem to want to do this well and not in haste. (nt) NYC_SKP Jul 2013 #1

I have not been following it closely because it seems to be in the hands of competent lawyers and a fair judge. The jury will do what it has to do and there is no reason to believe this jury is any more flawed than any of us.

My sense is that he should be convicted of manslaughter. But given the perversions built into Florida law, it would not surprise me if the jury finds some reasonable doubt related to the actual moment of the shooting.

Frankly everything that led up to that is just not very relevant under the ALEC law and it is tiresome to see 100 new threads each day from people who don't understand that basic point of the Florida law.

Geraldo Rivera: Zimmerman Jurors Would Have Shot And Killed Trayvon Martin Sooner Than Zimmerman Did
Posted by Ellen -512.60pc on July 12, 2013

This morning on Fox & Friends, Geraldo Rivera didn’t just think Zimmerman should be acquitted, he gave his personal stamp of approval on the shooting death of “hoodie-wearing” Trayvon Martin by saying that each member of the jury “would have shot and killed” him “a lot sooner than George Zimmerman did.”

Here’s Rivera’s full quote:

I see those six ladies in the jury putting themselves on that rainy night, in that housing complex that has just been burglarized by three or four different groups of black youngsters from the adjacent community. So it’s a dark night, a 6-foot-2-inch, hoodie-wearing stranger is in the immediate housing complex. How would the ladies of that jury have reacted? I submit that if they were armed, they would have shot and killed Trayvon Martin a lot sooner than George Zimmerman did. This is self defense.

Off camera, you can hear co-host Steve Doocy respond by saying, “Sure.”

Later, Rivera added, “I believe that George Zimmerman will be acquitted. I really do believe that and I hope that by saying it out front and other commentators joining me, that this will mitigate any possible outrage.”

Yes, according to FOX News the typical American woman would should and kill any stranger they see walking down the street in the rain with a hoodie.

To make it even more stupid, here is a picture of the FOX News commentator who thinks it is self defense to shoot someone who is wearing a hoodie in the rain...

I agree that they appear to be taking this very seriously and, like you said, no matter the outcome, I hope nobody claims they rushed or didn't take time to examine all the evidence
