Hawaiian coffee sale 20% off (includes the ALL in for Hillary brew)

I don't make a dime off this post. I'm promoting a union grown in the USA product. Owner Ted is a BIG Dem BTW. Need I say more?

About Our Coffee

At 22 degrees North Latitude, Kauai has the ideal geographic location for growing coffee. Relatively cool evenings, light winds, and low cloud cover allow for the slow ripening of cherries. Kauai's soils are weathered, deep and slightly acidic-the perfect environment for coffee cultivation.

All processing by-products are reused. After filtering, factory water is applied back to the fields for irrigation. The cherry pulp mulch from pruning are returned to the fields as soil amendments, restoring nutrients and reducing weeds.

Water resources are reused. A efficient drip irrigation system applies water and fertilizers directly to the trees roots NO pesticides are used. Cultivation practices also have reduced the need for herbicides by 75%. 100% renewable energy. All power need are met by hydroelectricity.

The employees are all members of the ILWU and are among the highest paid coffee workers in the world. Employees receive a full range of benefits, including, dental, and retirement, for themselves and their families.

This post is made to support Made in the USA and jobs that pay middle class taxes. It is also eco friendly coffee compared to most other brands of coffee. The Kona is Rain Forest Certified too.

In our efforts to produce conventional certified Hawaiian in an environmentally friendly manner, we have developed farming practices that return the harvesting and processing byproducts back into the soil. The fresh coffee skins can be used for weed control around the trees or, if left to breakdown, as mulch to replenish nutrients back into the soil. In addition, we recycle the coffee wash water. The waste water containing fermented sugar water is filtered of most of the solid matter and aerated prior to being used for irrigation. Most important of all is the green waste from pruning nearly of coffee. All branches and twigs are mulched on and recycled year after year; not dumped in landfills. We will continue to farm our specialty coffee by recycling byproducts that are biodegradable.

The clean sweep at the Komen Foundation is finally complete. A few days ago Komen founder Nancy Brinker finally lost her job as CEO. It took a while but they finally got rid of her, the woman who watched her sister suffer and die from breast cancer, who dedicated her life to eradicating the disease, who created one of the most successful global health charities in the world. They removed her for the crime of trying to defund Planned Parenthood. She’s being replaced by a woman some say had a hand in developing Obamacare and who has never run a non-profit.

She was the last of the triumvirate who had the audacity to try and get Susan G. Komen for the Cure out of the culture wars around abortion.

The first to go was Karen Handel who was head of global marketing for Komen. She received the initial blame from the left. Though she voluntarily resigned, she was the fall guy. Handel subsequently wrote a very readable book about it and is now running for the U.S. Senate from Georgia. Second to go was Liz Thompson, who at the time two years ago was President of Komen.

Since they are all gone completely or from day-to-day operations, it is time to tell some tales from the inside of that failed effort. I know quite a bit that has never been revealed until now. Top Komen people came to me in the summer of 2011 to ask my advice on how to step away from Planned Parenthood funding and how to communicate this, in fact how to orchestrate such a move with the pro-life movement.
