Hong Kong has 'no legal basis' to keep Snowden, may be bound for Caracas via Moscow, Cuba
US whistle-blower Edward Snowden has left Hong Kong on a commercial flight to Russia. He left "on his own will" and did not have any help or protection from Hong Kong authorities, a government source told the South China Morning Post.
The flight believed to be carrying Snowden has landed in Moscow. He will fly to Havana on Monday, then to Caracas, said Russian media.

(272 posts)He threw away his life to shine light on the cancerous growth of the NSA. Without compromising national security. The most destructive thing in government is the proverbial "smoke-filled room", where decisions are made among cronies who benefit in some way from their choices, whether it's money or power, and no one has the ability or freedom to check those abuses. Power is what must constantly be monitored, not people under no suspicion.
