Great response to WaPo posts re gay Dads on Father's Day

The Washington Post has a great article today about two Dads and their son: http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/two-dads-turn-to-social-media-to-seek-adoption/2013/06/14/cd76fe42-d534-11e2-8cbe-1bcbee06f8f8_story.html?hpid=z3

Naturally, the haters came out, and they are disgusting. But check out this great post. This says it all:

I saw a wonderful post in another article about same sex couples adopting: To anyone one thinking about picking on some gay kid; keep in mind I am 17 years old, straight, 6’3”, 220lbs, a linebacker on my HS football team and I have two daddies. You pick on the gay kid you deal with me….and bring a baggie to take your teeth home in.

An average Special Forces guy from any of a 100 countries could beat the crap out of a 17 year-old football player without working up a sweat - something to think about before you get yourself into a dangerous situation.
And then there's guns.

Anyway, I understand your feelings and loyalty.

I just don't feel them anymore towards my adopted father - he was a colossal letdown.
I think having your own, biological kids adds an additional force to be a good parent that "choosing" to adopt doesn't provide.

Artificial is artificial.
Two million years of human evolution is a powerful force.
I'm talking about adoption, not the gay part - it's probably better than an orphanage, but don't expect it to be "real".
