The 9th anniversary of Abu Ghraib [Don't worry, no pics]

A crime against humanity in general and Muslims, in particular that is SO VILE that it, I would argue, should have spurred a great change or at least been the largest ever mirror in which America ever gazed upon itself and said, collectively, "My God, what have I done?!" How did I get here!?"

The question remains. As a country, upon seeing that ghastly image of ourselves, did we take the opportunity to turn it around? Did we do the hard work needed to change ourselves, and in changing ourselves to regain the trust and respect of the Muslim world?

Or, have we simply shored up the rhetoric and taken care of appearances?

Anyway, this is the 9th anniversary of something we should never forget because you can bet your ass that the Muslim world is not EVER going to forget it. Also, a 21 year old today would have been just 12 when it happened and it is our duty to teach them.
