What happened to the hand wringing over a gun registry?
The leader of the Missouri House says an attempt to access a secure website listing Missouri's concealed gun permit holders was part of an investigation into whether the state had appropriately shielded the information.
Gov. Jay Nixon's administration revealed last week that someone using a House computer address repeatedly tried to access the site. It said those attempts were unauthorized because information on concealed gun permit holders can only be shared with law enforcement.

(14,400 posts)registry for that if they could access it. Then they wouldn't have to pay the NRA for the mailing list and get a bunch of non-NRA gun owners in the deal.
Republicans are against a gun registry because it's good politics to make imbeciles think that any and all forms of gun control, even really minor ones like background checks, are simply a method for the UN and WTO and any other scary black helicopter organizations to come in and take away their manhood...I mean weapons.
