he swallowed a bottle of sleeping pills and is in the ICU right now. The doctors arent saying much... apparently he was in financial difficulties... He is a limo driver and used his credit card to rent the limo for $600 a week..
I don't know him personally - but I find it so unnerving that people are forced to take such drastic steps needlessly. He could have declared a personal bankruptcy instead - but the shame of doing so was too much for him.
Its the world we live in today- no matter how hard some people try - they can never get out of where they are.

(11,304 posts)I see what is happening in our country and I don't recognize it and don't think it's going to be better for my granddaughter. I know we can't afford to give her that leg up because we are to busy trying to live day to day like most families. I know many families are one paycheck away from going over the cliff.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
