(13,620 posts)or carry her own rifle hunting. I have a gun nut buddy that was really pissed about that episode of Sarah Palin's Alaska. Not that he minded her being a phony. He loves her because he thinks she's hot. He was pissed off that someone involved with production didn't have enough of a clue to have her fake it or selectively edit things. How hard could it have been to show her packing the gun and loading a few shells, even if someone really carried it most of the way for her?

(70,581 posts)She couldn't load or aim her gun and daddy had to work the bolt action for her.
I am willing to bet that she didn't even shoot that Caribou but somebody
else did ..... poor animal probably had seen a human in its life and just stood
there as she blasted away.
From what little of the show I saw I noticed she couldn't catch a fish in stream
filled with thousands of salmon and wasn't very skilled in the out of doors.

(298 posts)this - remove any item that identifies me, and then stuff all the rest into the postage paid return envelope and mail it back. I remove anything that identifies me so they keep sending me this shit so I can send it back. Costs them money and manpower.

(904 posts)I will never be able to comprehend how so many people can actually believe this malarky.
Occasionally, I try to wrap my mind around the idea of listening to some blowhard (like Mr. Lintballs) tell me untruths every day on the radio and then going and telling other people about this stuff as if it were real. ...I honestly can't imagine it. Yet, I know real thinking practical people that do this. Must be some kind of gang/peer pressure/groupthink mentality.

(9,748 posts)Next edition of American Rifleman featured LaPierre's lengthy article about how the NRA never promoted any wild-eyed, anti-government hysteria.
That very same edition included a Neal Knox article detailing how UN Black Helicopters invaded a Chicago suburb in the middle of the night rounding up all of the citizens in a practice raid.
For the first couple years after I quit the NRA, they kept calling and asking me to rejoin. The conversation went the exact same way every single time....
ME: "While I am a big supporter of gun rights, in most other ways I am fairly Liberal, and"

They hung up on me. Every single time. I understand they now pretend to want Democrats and Liberals. But they made no such pretense back in the '90s.
