The woman known to du-ers as "K8-EEE" has passed away of cancer. Her friends and family are tremendously sad. I thought she was one of the smartest people I ever met. Funny and beautiful, too. She wished to remain private about her illness, but I followed many exchanges in General Discussion, between "K8-EEE" and various members - I thought they might be wondering where she went. She will no doubt make the afterlife a better place for us all, by the time we join her... RIP K8-EEE.

(12,629 posts)I am one of the fortunate ones. After 6 surgeries, chemo, and years of pills...I am showing no signs of recurrence at 15 years.
We must find a cure.
Godspeed, K8-EEE

(153,516 posts)I told Skinner that we've long wanted such a group, and we'd like him to set it up.
I also asked what we would need to do to get it.
I hope to have an answer soon.
Once he answers me, you will be able to read it too.

(7,719 posts)As one who has experienced the recent loss of my wife to cancer, I know the pain of loss. I didn't know her, but I know what she went through. I hope she is at peace now and past the horrible effects that cancer can reek on one's body. We hate to lose our loved ones, but watching them suffer is so hard. May God be with her for eternity.

Not being a Cowsills maven, I didn't know who "Robby" was. I see from Wikipedia that one of the singers was Bob Cowsill, so I thought that's who was meant, but at the end of the story about the flight she writes that Bob Cowsill was sitting behind her and Robby. So, who's the Robby whose name she screams in the clip and whom she meets thanks to Southwest Airlines?
