http://gawker.com/5982891/meanwhile-in-brazil-its-raining-spidersWhat's that? You're worried about a little snow falling on your head? How adorable.
Meanwhile, in Brazil, it's raining spiders.
Footage posted online yesterday shows thousands of spiders "falling from the sky" in the southern Brazilian town of Santo Antônio da Platina.
"Still do not know what causes such behavior," writes the video's uploader. "We are researching and will post the answer to the question here."
I know exactly what causes such behavior. A little something called the end of the world.

(26,308 posts)To say I have arachnophobia is an understatement. When I was young, and we were under a tornado warning, my parents used to put us in the basement, beneath the wash tub. Where there were SPIDERS. I would have prefered a quick death by tornado rather than to be disolved and devoured by spiders. Admittedly, my entire knowledge base of spiders came from waking up at a drive in, during the 2nd feature of 'Tarantula'. Scarred me for life.

To say she is not fond of spiders is an understatement.
She (age 29) flips at the site of tiny ones.
