Just in case you thought the NRA was a rational organization because they

backed 100% background checks once upon a time please note that LaPierre was fending off a 5 day waiting period when he supported a no-loop-holes instant background check. The gun safety lobby wanted a waiting period so local law enforcement could look into gun buyer's character. The gun lobby successfully fought it off with an instant background check via the FBI database which is poorly maintained at best.

The gun lobby is not and never has been reasonable.

been. Never liked them but they really have astounded me with their stupidity!
