Harry Reid Was Endorsed By LaPierre and Was "Staunchly Opposed To The Assault Weapons Ban"

MSNBC was talking about Harry Reid earlier and how the "Sportsmen for Harry Reid" page has been taken down. On that page was a glowing endorsement from, of all people, Wayne LaPierre, and went on to say that Senator Reid was "staunchly opposed to the assault weapons ban."

Between this and filibuster reform, I am really starting to question whether he should be the Democrat leader of the Senate.

I have always admired Dick Durbin, but after hearing what I did on MSNBC today, he is really looking good in my eyes for Majority Leader.

but he has become very establishment over the past several years. Of course I have no interest in any AWB so no impact there, I am bitter about folding the tents on filibuster reform but I see nothing to indicate Durbin would be any more hardline.

I would figure someone so concerned could at least get the name right.

...they're the ones who voted him in. They're the ones who can remove him. Either make your voice heard to your Democratic Senator or work to elect someone who will vote to replace Reid. Our votes only matter one Tuesday every other November...the rest of the time we're spectators...
