an enemy list for paranoid gun nuts? It's like a hit list, will targets soon be placed over people's faces? And it seems to me a very McCarthy type of witch hunt list. There was another time where actors, actresses, and groups were put on lists and branded as enemies.

The NRA is going to annihilate themselves when one or more of their crackpot followed end up taking someone out on this list. Don't they realize how unstable their that some of their crazed, rabid flowers are capable of. And I'm sure good ole' Rush will be sure to read down the who's who on the list to make sure every crack pot knows who to "fear" and "hate".

support, but many on the list are groups that many of us would support naturally being liberal in mind. The list for right-wing nut-jobs is more like a nice list of enemies to be taken down so their guns won't be taken away. They aren't stable.

These are the same fools who actually believe Sandy Hook is a conspiracy and have had the audacity to pester the school bus driver and members of the family who's loved one's were massacred.

If you read the article posted, the list was comprises because of newspapers printing names and addresses of concealed permit carrier's. Its meant for the purpose of scaring people from speaking out against the NRA and laws to try to regulate and make owning a weapon a safer thing. The "hit list" is meant as a threat. Most of the people on the list probably don't own weapons and many people who work or volunteer for the agencies listed are regular people. They aren't stars with gated homes and security they can afford to hire.

Reminds me more of a list used with the anti-choice people who target Drs outside of clinics.

Let's start with Europe for one. My European friends think we are all nuts for allowing these crazies to threaten and hold us ransom for years. My girlfriend's mother worries about me day and night. She is of the opinion that the country has gone berserk with wild eyed, gun toting neanderthals, filled with murderous rage and arms full of weapons. I used to chuckle at her fears but lately I'm thinking that she might be right.

But going through the list I realized the NRA loves guns, hates society at large.

Following are some sub lists of categories of "enemies." Note how by and large these are the professional societies of the people who have to clean up after "precious" every day.

And good luck on better mental health procedures when you hate the people providing it. What idiots over at the NRA.

All the organizations on the list better watch their back.
If any are attacked, the NRA should be co-indited in the crime.

They could've saved themselves a lot of time, paper and ink by just listing "the American Public at Large"......

Did I miss a possible reversal in Gun Policy, or is LaPierre too chicken to call out the president?

40. WTF? Amusement Parks? Greeting Card Company? Yogurt? Clothing?

Earthgrains?

How in the fuck are Amusement Parks "gun control advocates"? Is this The Onion? And if it's not is the NRA telling me they want to be allowed to carry their goddamn AR-15's into Disneyworld or Cedar Point? "Mickey touched my wife.. BLAM BLAM BLAM!"

And WTF is up with Yogurt? That's not even a brand it's a goddamn food. Is it a specific flavor that is trying to take away their guns? Maybe if we could just stop Blueberry that would be enough!

Clothing? Is the NRA afraid their bathrobe is going to vote for gun control?

Convenience stores? Are those over priced bottles of 5 Hour Energy going to join forces with Red Bull and Monster and roll on down the street grabbing guns at their leisure?

Man this is too bizarre for words.

before I posted this lunacy to Facebook. Everything I mentioned, Amusement Parks, Yogurt, Clothing, none of them is actually on the list. This list has been "modified".

Really, was the list not long enough? Some bullshit had to be added to make it look worse? This is exactly the crap that causes us to gain exactly zero ground in the gun control debate. We don't need to lie to make a point.

42. I see that the AFL-CIO's "Union Sportsmen Alliance"

is not enough to keep them off the list. (It really is time and past that we un-gendered that name)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Union_Sportsmen%27s_Alliance

The Union Sportsmen's Alliance (USA) is a non-profit conservation‐based hunting and fishing organization exclusively for Union members, retirees and their families. Working with its AFL-CIO affiliated trade union partners, the USA's primary goal is to protect wildlife habitat while simultaneously guaranteeing access for hunters and anglers.[1]

The Union Sportsmen's Alliance goal is to become North America's largest community of Union sportsmen and women committed to preserving our outdoor heritage for generations to come.

Through conservation projects and strategic partnerships, USA members will volunteer their skills and resources to expand and improve hunting and fishing access, wildlife habitat and outdoor recreational opportunities for all to enjoy, now and in the future.

The USA is non-partisan and does not take positions on or endorse political agendas, parties or candidates. This statement does not reflect, in any way, on how the USA's participating unions communicate with their members on political, legislative or policy issues.

Don't get me wrong - I'm glad to see us on that list. I shudder to think what sort of stance would keep a person/organization off it.

I believe the folks and organizations who made the NRA's list will feel the same. They have every right to be proud.

"After the Journal News published the names and addresses of more than 33,000 LEGAL handgun permit holders, making families, homes and neighborhoods vulnerable to theft and assault."

I'm not defending the NRA, please understand. Why do you suppose the Journal News published these gun owners' names???
