Today's public service announcement: Shut off your car before you close the garage door

I just found out this sad piece of news:

One of our carriers worked at a supermarket. Yesterday, she worked a late shift at the store, came down to the newspaper plant, picked up her papers, made her rounds, drove home, opened the garage door with her remote, parked, and closed the door without shutting the car off first. She then fell asleep in her car...and died of carbon monoxide poisoning.

So...don't do this. There are too few Democrats as it is.

I have a long ago friend who is a carrier, and I would like to rule her out as the victim. Such a tragedy. Why not an inbuilt carbon monoxide detector alarm installed in cars. Probably would add $10 to the cost of the auto.

It's an epidemic. Most people in this country don't get enough sleep. I am pretty sure she didn't forget so much as she fell asleep before turning off her car. I wouldn't be surprised if this was her second or third job and that she may have been working over 60 hours a week. Most people don't die this way from exhaustion, instead they develop diabetes, heart disease, cancer, obesity and a lot of other horrible diseases that kill them just as dead as this tragedy, it just happens slower and next thing you know we have a bunch of 55 year olds dropping dead and no one really notices.

Thanks for the psa, though. I hope that something is done about it. We do have too many people dying too young.
