Maybe a Democrat will step up and refuse to let it out of committee.
Personally, I think we need to fall off that cliff, at least temporarily. My taxes will go way up and I'm prepared for that. Most people here at DU won't see that much of a hike.

Case in point: Cutting the expense of the GD privatized Part D bullshit that Bush put in place and placing it under the Federal umbrella where it belongs would cut expenses and increase benefits.
