Ive never seen a reason for a concealed carry permit

a little background.
I own several guns including the "evil" ar-15
i dont own them because im worried about some numbnut breaking in. I own them because im jewish (at least by ethnicity),my stepdad fled the holocaust where he lost his whole family and there are a whole lot of racist nutjobs in this country.

I dont understand the concealed carry permit except in very limited circumstances. if your that scared that you feel you need a gun for protection in your day to day life you need a mental health checkup for paranoia and probably shouldnt own a gun anyway.

realistically whats the point of a cc permit.

...and was legitimately afraid for his life.

The only person I know who has one has it because she has a violent ex-husband who has repeatedly beat the shit out of her and doesn't seem to care about restraining orders.

And yes, even on my own property I have to have a permit, although Kentucky recently changed that. I now no longer have to have it on my own property or place of business.

Why concealed? If it is not concealed, isn't it more of a deterrent to anyone who is thinking of causing you trouble?

My uncle has been robbed a few times leaving his store at night. Now he carries and hasn't been robbed in three years.

Also, I used to work in private investigations and personal protection. You've got to have a ccw license for that kind of work.

There's reasons to have a permit.
