For Gawd's sake! Reagan had Alzheimer's his second term!

Can’t we accept Joe who has a little neuropathy in his foot? I am really disappointed in the Dems. Biden has proven himself recently in a press conference with complicated questions and managing the NATO conference!!

From a stroke so his wife was running things. Made it though the flu epidemic and transition after WWI. And FDR was a walking dead man most of his last term but made it to the Yalta conference.

And Joe is 180 degrees from those two. So even if it's a low bar he is more than fit.

Could not run again even if he wanted too. Very different scenario.

Especially in his closing statement, he rambled on and on and had to be interrupted by the moderator. After the debate there were many people who talked about Reagan's alzheimer's.

We on the left thought Reagan had no business being president his second term. Well, neither term, for that matter, but that's another story.

Comparing Biden to Trump is more appropriate. Trump is a sociopath and probably a psychopath, and he frequently rambles on incoherently. Biden's issues look minor compared to Trump's.

A criminal, rapist, lunatic.

You don't see MAGA balking at their criminal, psychologically unstable candidate.

Even with that, he was still fairly sharp and Pat Buchanan was never forgiven for going way over his allotted time at the 1992 Convention which pushed Reagan's final speech out of the media. His diagnosis was admitted in 1994, well past him leaving the Oval office. They myth that gets repeated here that he was well into it during his terms does a dis-service to both Carter and/or Mondale.

He had clinically demonstrable early signs which they covered up. Anyone who pays attention to the affected individual who has experienced the full clinical course of Alzheimer’s Disease knows exactly what I’m referring to. Your sarcasm is noted and not atypical.

Just listen to him ramble and get lost in the weeds.
Reagan lost 9 points in the polls after that debate-- of course he had been up 20.

And he was so out of it by then they knew they could manipulate him into doing what they wanted. Trickle down bullshit and all of that that benefitted them.
