They started out with the usual DID nonsense, but now the mood is shifting and they're starting to realize that Trump lying and refusing to answer any questions was completely ineffective. Verrrrrry palpable shift in tone and mood.

It is quite an amazing talent- It leaves me agape too.
Then the projection- "I didn't want to run, but how (Joe)
is running the country, I knew I had too" When we know that he
threw his hat in the ring at lightening speed to avoid prosecution for his criminal
Jan 6 actions.
Keeping track of all the lies because there were so many- that

make my head spin in real time -

He also dodged questions regarding the INSURRECTION and attempted coup HE inspired, by referring to some "they" in Oregon protests.
Who is this "THEY"? Uhhhh... don't tell me... let me guess.

(206 posts)From years in the advertising field I can confidently state that the sizzle is more important than the steak..The Trump steak was rotten but Biden's had NO sizzle..
I said the same thing years ago when Obama debated Romney for the first time. I was panned for saying that but it turned out to be true.. The Obama team realized that and in the second debate Obama did much better..and won
Biden seemed weak and was unable to formulate clear and cutting responses to Trump. He misspoke several times and had to correct himself. He confirmed the RW talking points about his age..
Most notable for me was how he failed to really stick it to Trump over the issue of immigration when to topic came up the first time..
He should have hammered home the idea that there was a bill on the table but Trump killed it..Biden needed to make that point again and again and again..every time Trump mentioned immigration and he should have gone into great detail about exactly what the bill would have done and Trumps role in killing it for political purposes. Not just once but over and over and over again
The same thing can be said about other issues as well.
Biden seemed tired and without energy..Trump lied and distorted but how many will know that?
Over and over polls are saying the race is close.. This election should be a Democratic blow out but its not..
We need to stop denying the reality...
I now agree.. we need a new candidate ..someone filled with energy and youth..Gavin Newsom comes to mind...Youthful, charismatic and without the baggage of Biden..Someone who can excite the voters and stick it to Trump on so many fronts.
i am sure many dont want to hear this but our nation depends on winning this next election and crushing the MAGA movement big time..

I'm disappointed by their shallow judgment though I am not particularly surprised by it. For a relatively informed bunch of hair-do's they can appear to be as blind as the phone zombies.

(468 posts)I happened upon another site, similar to this, that was spot on in observations. Those folks should have been in the MSNBC chairs. Ruth Ben-Ghiat was also shocked that Trump's lies were able to be displayed with equal merit alongside the truth...standard fascism.
