I don't think I've ever gotten repetitive goosebumps like this before. She was...amazing.

(27,310 posts)I thought her speech was heartfelt and refreshing. The cruel snark was simply.... cruel.

(24,731 posts)So very rewarding. On Last Word she also talked about her "out gay son" and her unqualified support of him. She's so much more than I ever knew. Go Flying Nun!

(20,453 posts)I keep getting e-mails from people who've seen this movie and rave. One comment about Sally Field was that she portrayed "every emotion Mary Lincoln must have had" with a look.
We've got to see this film!

(16,685 posts)from cliche soap-opera with just one scene. Her graveside scene towards the end was so raw it was hard to watch.

(9,314 posts)and you are so right about the graveside scene. I just can't imagine losing a child. The entire cast was stellar.

(22,057 posts)And I'll be surprised if she doesn't get a win. I never dreamed I would come to respect her this much but she deserved it. Incredible.
Almost as good were Daniel Day Lewis, Tommy Lee Jones, Hal Holbrooke and Joseph Gordon Leavitt and the rest of the cast.
