1. Why do we celebrate and fawn over these "other" foreign hurricane-making waves?

We're perfectly able to manifest any cat of disasters in our own homeland's hemisphere when they're needed. Cat 1 through 5, no problem, name your poison. I say, "devastate domestically, don't let these illegal foreign elements infiltrate our own red-white-and-blue tropical storm producing weather patterns." It ain't for nothing we're the western hemisphere, a shining storm center on the hill and damn proud of it.

Stop the proliferation of alien hurricanes, storm American!

4. It has been so hot here this May that I don't want to think

about the temperatures in July and August

5. Yep. We've been in Grand Cayman for the past month. Virtually no rain at all.

Everyone is quite concerned about the toll the heat, which was bad last summer and fall and is expected to stay bad this spring and summer, is taking on the reef.

14. It's not good. But the deterioration has been ongoing for quite some time.

Over development and the resulting sedimentation. Invasive lion fish. Stony Tissue Coral Disease. And, of course, warming ocean temperatures due to climate change. Sometimes I'd like to drag climate change deniers underwater with me and show them the environmental destruction that they pretend isn't happening. Then I'd cut their air hoses.

This has been the hottest May here in sw Florida. It’s been a dry spring this year, too, and no rain expected for a while.

Not even a breeze and the high should be 93*. We’re almost there before noon.
