.... wrapper.
I wish DU could do something like this from The Guardian.
Nice yellow banner dating the age of the news data.

(58,345 posts)Thanks for saying something. DU needs to change its rules about that.
It might take Rawstory several days to steal a story from someone else and present it as its own. That doesn't make the Rawstory account worthy of posting in LBN as something that just happened.
I rely on news aggregators, but it's something that requires care. Yahoo! gets stories from Bloomberg and Reuters, so I can see who the real source is. MSN's only criterion seems to be that the source has a pulse. It takes in junk from anything that makes it over the doorstep.
Thanks again, and good morning.

(11,624 posts)would go a long way. (although I think that's a matter for the poster and not administration)
Unfortunately - I'm not sure if all of our posters real care that much about quality or content.

(6,586 posts)Way too many that are Twitter or other outside videos. Click on them and find a snippet of the topic with a lot of talk by someone.. who knows who. Or to sites that you have to have a subscription for. Most of what you get from the video could be summarized then looked at if there is an interest.
Some of the attitudes here are annoying too. But that part is life.

(16,574 posts)sometimes the article is several years or even a decade old. after a while you get used to checking dates the minute you open up the piece.

(28,428 posts)A good deal of the time, I missed that bit of news, so I'm glad it's reposted.
Either way, long live the DU!
