2. Right, the DoD busted him back to captain, not an admiral anymore

Even though he keeps referring to himself that way.

They should have court marshaled him right into the brig with no pension or rank.

After my wife has given birth and then try to cover it up with a $130,000 pay off.

The only fucking idiots who buy this bullshit are on the left side of the gene pool curve.

5. When he says,

"This is not the kind of stuff that happens in the United States of America, this is Soviet-era stuff right here," does he mean elected members of the government standing outside a criminal trial and attacking the judge, the judge's family, the jury, the witnesses, and the entire justice system and rule of law in general?

Because if so, I agree with him.

Edited to add, in fact, yeah, if you just take his quote and replace the word "they'll" with the word "we'll" then it really makes a lot of sense.

6. Trump's henchmen know he's going to be convicted, so they're already setting the stage for verdict denialism.

Much like they're already denying the election results in November knowing Trump will lose. This is all about kissing Trump's ass and helping him foment MAGA outrage and violence.

10. Trump isn't preparing to win--he's preparing to lose

But the GOP parade of prebuttal for an election that hasn't even happened yet is just one way Trump is preparing his supporters, his campaign, and the entire Republican apparatus for a potential loss in November.

For sports fans: Is it a no-hitter if the opposing team walks off the field before the game is over?

Wikipedia says:
Major League Baseball (MLB) officially defines a no-hitter as a completed game in which a team that batted in at least nine complete innings recorded no hits.

So maybe the GOP should just forfeit the election and spoil Joe Biden's landslide win?
Sounds good to me.

We didn't pay off said porn star and lie to the American people about it. That was the week after dump publicly confessed to sexually assaulting any women he chooses,

8. Soviet-era stuff? In this country, we have always had due process under our laws

And innocent until proven guilty by a jury of our peers. Their “friend” has had more than his share of due process, even to the point of privilege that most of us will never be afforded. They make me sick

9. Why do so many Republicans assume we paid porn stars

Hush money. Even if we did, few of us are in violation of campaign finance law. This trial really feels like a thing none of us are worried they're coming for us for doing it too.
