After the near-unprecedented clearing of his courtroom, Justice Merchand was asked by Robert Costello, the cause of the courtroom clearing, if he could speak.
Justice Marchand gave a very terse one syllable response:
No.
And then he gave an explanation to make his answer perfectly clear: "This is not a conversation."
I wish I had used that approach with my children when they were pushing their maturity envelopes.
