My 10 yr old niece got a letter from President Biden and the President Award

She is on top of the world! She received the award, along with several other honor roll students at her school.

Granted, I think the WH sent a bunch of these letters out to various schools, I doubt it was only my niece’s school. But, even that small gesture, shows how much the Biden administration is invested in the community. Someone, somewhere in that administration decided it was good to reach out to schools to celebrate and uplift these children.

It’s crazy that so many Americans want nothing from their President other than hate and owning the libs.

3. What a thrill for your niece and others of her generation. I remember back in the

early 60s when I was 10, President Kennedy gave a physical fitness challenge to all children in the US. Some sort of program was designed that involved long-distance, short-distance, jumping, floor exercises such as sit ups and push ups. Even though we lived in Germany, we were enrolled in DOD schools and my sister, brother and I got certificates "signed by the President" verifying that we met the challenge. It was BIG DEAL!

6. I remember the Presidential Physical Fitness Tests.

50 yard dash, sit-ups, pull ups, shuttle run, 600 yard run were the five events. Performing at the 85th percentile or above earned you a Presidential Physical Fitness Award patch and certificate. I didn’t earn one of these until my senior year and I have the patch to this day, 46 years later.

Tulipsandroses, congratulations to your niece and I wish her continued academic success. I think this is a good thing to do by the Biden administration. When children do well, it is good to give them recognition of their efforts and it doesn’t have to be anything overblown or fancy. And I agree with you, it is very hard to imagine Trump taking the time to do something like this.

I took a copy of the letter. Such a nice letter and I couldn’t imagine the orange monster writing such a caring and compassionate letter!o
